Ideal tubeless tape width?
I have a pair of Hunt wheels, i'm going tubeless for the first time and I would like to replace the stock tubeless tape because I wasn't careful enough and I ripped it with tyre levers...
I was wondering what is the ideal tape width.
I tried to do some research but got different results. Some people say that the tape should be the same width as the inside diameter of the rim, but for example the official WTB manual says the tape should be 5mm wider than the rim.
So, what's the truth, or does it really even matter?
My wheels have a 20mm inside diameter. For example I was looking at Stans Notubes tape, but it only comes in 21, 25, 27mm.

I use Stan's tape and have learned to tape it wall-to-wall. For your case I'd use the 21mm tape. I always use two layers, esp on a road rim with higher pressures.

seconded. you want it to just barely start to creep up the vertical portion of the rim, but not get to the hooked part.
