Poll for Speedplay users: pick your shoe/hardware setup
We can debate all sorts of things about shoe, cleat design, preferences. I'm only really interested in seeing on the forum what the breakout is on how they use their Speedplay cleats.
Do you:
-Own 4-bolt shoes
OR
-Do not own 4-bolt shoes and use the included adapter
That's all.

Any of the ones that come original from Speedplay as a 4-bolt cleat and the cleat kit includes an adapter to use the 4-bolt cleat on a shoe with 3-bolts.
So, any of their stuff that isn't the platforms or the weird MTB pedals they do.
So, Zero, Zero Aero, pave', light action...etc...

4-bolt shoes here. less hardware, lower stack, lighter. I use dmt shoes and i love them. I've been through 3 different pairs/models now.

I appreciate the input.
Here's where I'm coming from, loving shoes that they don't make in 4-bolt. I think it is high-time Speedplay tool up a cleat that works with 3-bolt without the 3-4mm extra stack of the adapter plate.
I'm a nerd, engineer, tinkerer.......so it's no biggie.......but it sucks having to drill holes in nice shoes.

what shoes have four bolts on them? Google is just turning up regular road shoes that have three bolts on the bottom.
