Looking for a bike to fit my seat post

Are there any serious bikes/ tube sets around that would need a 25.4mm seat post?

If you are interested the Austro-Daimler SL would be a candidate.

Early seventies Peugeot entry level and there is a nice one for sale, here in Thunder Bay, at the moment. The seller wants $200.00 CND for the bike. I offered $100.00 and he passed...

Actually, both.
It is a trick-part kick-ass titanium seat post.
Which makes me wonder why this exists in this size.
A shim to 27.2 is in the mail.
Still scratching my head...
Quite possibly the production of the post was a result of a 1" titanium tube supply, with the availability of shims in mind from the start.

Not the Vitus 979's.....
Those frame's use 25.0 mm diameter seatppsts. Not 25.4......
IIRC, the Cannondales used 27.2 mm.....

This sounds like finding the princess that can wear the slipper you found. A lotta work, but if she's gotta be a princess how else are you gonna find her?

First thing I thought of was “jacking up the radiator cap and putting a different car under it” .
