Install instructions for Shimano HP-NX10 Locking Headset

Anyone have access to the official Shimano install documentation for the HP-NX10? I'm pretty sure there is an additional step beyond the obvious headset install process, but want to see if I can get my hands on the Shimano doc or a discussion with someone who has the doc.

Here is all the info Shimano publishes on their Tech Doc site: https://techdocs.shimano.com/media/te...9830606300.PDF

What is the purpose of the "lock"? A parking brake?

I figured it out. There was a locknut in the package that I thought went on top of everything, but it actually installs INSIDE the headset. It's installed now, thanks.

From what I read it's to stop the fork/handlebar from swinging left or right so it stays upright when parked; there's a warning not to ride the bike when locked

Very true, and there's a clutch built into the fixing mechanism so that you CAN steer with great effort should you forget. Not ideal, but lots better than totally locked up no matter what!
