If it's rideable and shifts thru the gears, I would say YES

Prices are still high and this would sell in my area pretty quickly

Since the seatpost is all the way down, you may want to bring a 15mm wrench and an adjustable wrench, in case I'm wrong about the size and loosen the seat post clamp and be sure that you the seat post is not stuck. I'm thinking that it will be ok, but it is good to check.

Spin the wheels to be sure that they run true.

Everything looks original, which is good. The tires look original too, so you may want to figure that you may need to replace them soon. And it could probably use new handlebar tape, but it is tough to really tell from the picture.

Good luck if you get it. Let us know. Take it for a ride and let us know your impressions. These LeTours are pretty good. Not the fastest or racyist but good solid riders.

Thanks so much for the advice! There is actually a schwinn leTour 12.2 but it's $175. Twice as much. Is it really that much better. Should I get it instead?
assume similar condition.

No mention has been made as to the model year of the Le Tour that the OP was interested in at the start of the thread. I’m going to say no newer than 1976 based on the center pull brakes, stem shifters, “Schwinn-LeTour” on the down tube and the red color. The 1974-1976 models of the LeTour are very similar RE: general appearance and basic specs.
Personally, I think that $125 is a bit high but the current demand may dictate prices in that range. It’s not an “avoid at any cost” bike and if, as mentioned, it rides and shifts decently, it might be worth $125. On general principles, I’d offer $100 and perhaps be prepared to pay the asking price. Let us know of the final outcome.

You’re comparing apples to oranges but IMHO, the Scott bike would be a much better deal. Make sure there is no frame damage! Buy the Scott before someone else does!

Thanks so much for the help. I found one more for $60:

I like the fact that this one has a rack and fenders already. It's $60

IMHO, you’ll be happier with the Scott SUB! The extra $40 will be well worth it
