FS: 1986 Miyata 1000 60cm. Beautiful mostly original condition

I’ve decided to let this one go. It measures 60cm ctc on the seat tube. Original except for the cables and tubes. Fresh grease and Bioshield rust proofing.
asking $900. + shipping or local pick up in Tampa fl

***pedals not included ***

On this one I may entertain trade offers for similar touring bikes, but ultimately I’d like to sell.

Mathematically that works out to n+0 and doesn't compute...

Beautiful bike! Is that an internally routed cable we see in the picture where the bottom bracket is removed?

You know, $900 gets you a nice pro paint, decals and maybe a little chrome. Here, you get the whole bike. Bargain.

I bought an '84 Miyata 1000 in about the same condition as this one about a year ago for a just a little less than this one. Condition was about 95% perfect. Looked like it was ridden around the block a few times and parked - in a nice, cool, dry place - for 37 years. I don't regret it one bit. Paint and components in so close to new condition - and not something you find very often - a bargain to me. I couldn't pass it up. I'd take it over any new bike in the same price range any day.

Seeing as how the only thing you can buy like this off the shelf would be a Surly LHT (that is a tank) at $1350, this is a bargain.

Well, if anyone's looking for one of these in a 56-57cm...let me know. I could let mine go, though also love riding it on cruisy days.

Well.... I am that person. Feel free to PM me with pictures and price. I sold a 54cm a few years back, loved the bike, just a little too small for me.

Holy smokes that's a stunner! Gotta be just about the nicest 1000 I've ever seen.
