I'm not understanding this post. Are you trying to make a thread where people can get an estimate on the value of a bike? If so there is whole forum for that. Or are you just asking people to brag about how much their bike is worth? In that case, it is pretty stupid. You can spend as much money on a bike as you feel like, it doesn't mean that it is worth much.

It's worth whatever I can get someone to pay. When I decide to sell it!

That's all anything is worth, is the amount someone will pay.

Value of my bike...

...is a funny thing. If I were willing to accept what a buyer was willing to offer, then that amount would be the value of my bike.

My wife wants me to thin my bike herd by selling off one or two. As I ride them all, I'm hesitant to do that, and I've discussed it with her. As to my fg bike - I'm not willing to part with it at this time. I like riding it. A lot.

So is the value to me higher than an informed buyer would be willing to pay?

See, if you had just followed the OP's rules and included pics, a parts list with the price for each component, the approximate labor cost of the time needed to install each component, factored in wear/depreciation since assembly, then we'd know how much your bike was worth. And if we all did that, then the OP could build the most expensive bike of anyone here and win the forum.

Or you could just look at his pedal room and figure it out yourself.

What you spend to build a bike and what it's worth are never the same thing.

My bikes are worth thousands of miles of joy, hundreds of tons of sweat and various amounts of grunting. There is no dollar amount that could buy my bikes (unless said dollar amount would get me a fully handbuilt custom painted high grade stainless steel touring bike with all the parts/accessories I want, then I might get back to you)
