@Reco Very ...that drive side crank arm has stripped pedal threads, as noted a few posts back. I had meant to attach a note to it but the goal eluded me before shipping. Chasing the threads might do the trick, otherwise a helicoil or threaded insert will get things in order.

That just gives me a reason to buy the taps. I should have them anyway.

Man, you know it's been awhile when you have to dig down to C&V page 4 to find this thread!

The BOC has landed, pix taken per the rules, and it's on the way to @noglider.

Flickr is down for maintenance right now, as soon as I notice it's back up I'll gitcher pitchers.

Well, Flickr upload seems to be broken now after the "upgrade", so

The BOC

The reveal

The take

Also removed were some borked crap, replace with crap I didn't want anymore. If you're a recividist playuh and see the same crap on twice go-a-round, consider being a mensch and pull said crap out and replace it with fresh crap.

Just sayin'.

There's been a delay in sending the BOC out from my end. My wife went to drop it off last week to send to Tom, but it was rejected by the eagle eyed postal employee that noticed the flaps did not meet in the middle - there was a slight "bulge" and a quarter-inch between the flaps.

Had the box been liftable with one hand, I'm not sure if they would have cared.

I squeezed the box tight and rewrapped it, it's on the way to NYC.

Folks, make sure those flaps meet in the middle!

Wow, I guess my post office don't care. She comments about getting my moneys worth and sticks a label on it.
The carrier that delivers to me thinks it's great and already recognizes the box.

I never knew of that rule. I wonder if the worker made it up on the spot.

Likewise, I've never heard anything about a 'flaps must meet' rule when I have taken the box to the local post office - only chuckles of amusement when I explain why the box is so darned heavy.

Going by the past few recipients’ pics of takes, it looks like nearly everything I’ve put in has found a new home. Now that’s pleasing! 😁

I am traveling from June 3 through June 16. If the box doesn't arrive by the time I leave, it will be dormant.

There was a gap when I sent it, so I assume if it is a rule, it is not universally enforced.

When I worked for FedEx Express, we had an unwritten rule about not accepting boxes whose flaps didn't meet in the middle so I guess the USPS has that too. Luckily all the times I've sent the BoC out, they didn't care at my post office.
