Eddy Merckx MX Leader
This is a call out to all cyclists out there. I own a 1995 Mx Leader and love it. I missed out on the 2005 limited 100 last frames in the motorolla paint scheme and would love to have one.
Does anyone know of any shop out there that still has one hangin' somewhere in mint condition? I would need something between 57 and 59cm.
THANKS

Are you checking eBay? I saw a NOS Telecom MXL go for about 1200 not to long ago. A NOS 52cm Telecom went for >600 soon after. Also I hear-tell that German eBay is a good place to scour for MX leaders.

I have an Eddy Merckx Corsa 0.1 and it is my fastest though heaviest bike. All up it weighs in at about 24 lbs but MAN if flies. And it always feels stable and strong.

you might want to consider youself lucky to have not gotten one of those last 100 mxl's. i read on another forum that is very merckz friendly that those frames did not ride like the original for some reason.

I had an MX Leader Merckx for a while. Fantastic bike.....put some light wheels in and it was a criterium special.
Would love another one.

You know somebody in belgium--somewhere--has got to have a basement full of those... well you can dream . that's a very prized bike--I think it's wise to scour the forums overseas, especially if you can get a handle on the language, or know someone who can. good luck.

Pedal Pushers, in Horsham PA, used to have an original Motorola MX Leader frameset kicking around the shop for years. It was from the early 90's series, I believe, with a chromed right chain stay. I don't know what size it was, except that it was mercifully too big for me (I ride a 54 or 55 generally). Unfortunately the shop closed a few months ago. I'll ask around and see if I can find any leads, but it's a pretty slim chance.

Can't speak directly on the last 100, but there have been variations in the tubesets, 90 degree changes in the swage orientations for the TTs etc.
