What seems to happen a lot is that someone with a big collection ages out or dies, and for a while there's stuff available. Then not so much for a little while. A lot of what's left in really good condition gets sold at auction, often on the internet.

Is there a reliable website or book where you can find info and pricing on antique bicycles?
This is a pretty good place to get an idea of value - sometimes. Sometimes? It is difficult to nail a value. Value is based on the bicycle, its condition, its size, its location and the seller's marketing skills. So, to help us offer you an appraisal of value, you will need to offer more information pertaining to those criteria mentioned. Once you have ten posts, then you can share pictures with us. Pictures are a tremendous help when appraising a vintage bicycle.
Hope that is helpful and welcome to Bike Forums.

long ago Sheldon Brown and Mike Kone wrote a price guide.
Mike much later attempted a rewrite, did not get very far.
It is tough.
There was a fellow on the CR list who really really wanted someone to write one.... Dr. H.
It is kind of a thankless task, and who would wish to buy it?
prices range widely, some over time go up. Rene Herse and Confente both have blown through expected price ceilings.
there is coming a youtube video by the Bicycle Collector... " the Most COLLECTABLE vintage bicycles "
so, you can get one man's opinion on 10/23
