Here's my circa 1967 Double Blue.
I've actually been wanting to move to a new owner for several years--the familiar too-many-bikes story. Here's a link to a fuller description and more photos that I posted a while back as part of an abortive attempt to sell it:
https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...-new-home.html
I actually did follow through and list it on ebay, and it did sell. But there was an issue with the buyer's payment, the deal fell through, and I was too discouraged to try again. (I've bought lots of stuff on ebay, but have sold things there only once or twice before, so maybe it seems harder to me than it is).
Okay, shutting up now. Mods, if it's inappropriate to inject something like this outside of the "for sale" thread, feel free to deep-six this post.

I volunteer at a charity shop and I was at the market yesterday selling bikes. Here is a Dawes Realmrider, probably late 1960's to early 70s. It seems to have been ridden a lot in the 70s and 80s, and has a fair number of components updated from that time frame.
Does anybody have any romantic thoughts I can share about this bike? It might help me sell it to a buyer who will appreciate it rather than strip it, paint it black, and turn it into a fixie.
