I was thinking the same myself. Cleveland/Akron CL prices are out of sight. Considering how high unemployment is I thought prices would be lower.

Reply from a CL vendor when I asked him what type of wheel he was selling (All he put in the ad was that they were KSyriums).

"They're actually SSL (https://www.pedalpushersonline.com/?CID=886) which superseded the Elite, SL, and ES lines. They are 700c clinchers."

So there you have it, Mavic have discontinued their Elite and SL wheel lines. You heard it first right here on bikeforums.net :-D

It gets better, this week I got a response to one of my ads (car not bike).

"Is it still for sale." (Warning ... Will ... Penny ... danger! danger! :-)

Me: "Yes, it is"

"What would be a good time to look at it. By the way, could you do me a huge favour. I tried to do this and my internet connection is too slooooow. I'm not sure I can afford the insurance on this car so can you please go to www.myscumbagscamwebsiteIwantyoutovisit.com and check out what the average price is for our area."

Me: "I purchased this car with the optional Terabit Wi-Fi Class N internet access modem so you can check insurance prices directly from the console. I will be flying to Mars this weekend but you can try back next week if you'd like a test drive."

For some unknown reason the conversation ended abruptly at that point.

There's also the "Brand New- Just rode it 5 times!"- which means that it's "used", not "Brand New".

Another line I like is the "Makes an Excellent Christmas Gift"- yeah, if you give old junk bikes for Christmas.

The Ultimate Christmas gift for your bike afficionado. I have a Colnago Extreme Power complete bike from 2008. Size is 54 cm, center to top. Full Campy 10 speed, Fulcrum carbon crank, carbon seat post and stem. Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels with RED spokes, matching the frame color. Cyclomuter comes with it, pedals and saddle do not.
This is the ultimate racing bike, hardly ridden (less than 150 miles) and is a beautiful red. It has NEVER been crashed or even put down. I am in Naperville and will not ship. Leaving town for the holidays and want to sell quickly. This is about 9 or 10 grand new so a steal at $6000.00.
Please be serious, email with any inquiries.

I need to ship my bike but I don't own any tools. I need someone to come over and take the pedals and handlebars off my bike for me. I'll give you $15 if you do.

This could explain why you have so many bikes in the garage.

I don't because mine are "fixed".
