680 mm. Does it have to be this long?
Just got a Cannondale Quick CX 2. Handlebar is 680 mm long. It seems way too wide. Are their shorter ones out there? Of course this is a flat bar.
Also thinking I made a mistake with the bar ends, Maybe smaller ones.

There are definitely shorter bars out there. You can either cut the ends of yours to your liking or find a narrower bar - try universal cycles, or any of the other million online bike part retailers. Or your local bike shop.

Use a 32 tooth per inch hacksaw blade. Should you decide to cut them.

Does 680 mm seem long to folks? My former bike (Specialized Sirrus), if I remember correctly, had a much shorter bar.

I had 620mm bars on my hybrid, too wide for me and quite heavy at 330gr, changed them with a 580mm Ritchey Pro (170gr).
I too have bar ends and ergo grips
Those bar ends do look huge, maybe you shoud try ergo bar ends, I'd never go back to the simple/ round shaped ones.
I have these, super comfy for me, don't know if available in your area.
Not the lightest, but I choose comfort before lightweight.
The width of the bars largely depends on what you do with the bike, I have 710mm bars on my mtb for example.
If you also use it offroad maybe go 620mm ?
By offroad I mean unpaved roads, not something that requires an mtb.
You could push levers and grips inward as if the bars were 620mm (or 640mm) and see if it feels ok.
Use it that way a little, at first may seem odd.

Your hybrid is on the MTB end of the hybrid spectrum, and short stems and wide handlebars are in style. 680 isn't even that wide.

680 is pretty average for that type of bike. Took me like an hour to get use to mine and mine is probably longer than 680
