1999 Trek Multitrack 700 Size

Hi, new user to the site! Looking for a decent used hybrid and found a 1999 Trek Multitrack 700 on my local CL for $100. Seems a bit high for the bike but wasn't going to offer anything until I could find more info on the size. The listing says its a Large, but I wasn't sure how many inches that is? Does anyone have that information? Thanks!

Welcome! The sizes available were 15", 17", 19", 21", and 23". I don't think Trek ever called them by "medium", "large"; that's probably the seller's characterization (and is likely subjective). It's probably a 21" or a 23".

Thank you! So the seller actually just got back to me with some measurements: '19" to the top of the top tube, and just about 21" to the top of the seat collar."

Would you say that's a 19" or 21"? I'm 5'8" so trying to figure out if it may be too big for me

I presume they're measuring from the center of the crank. If so, then that's a 21" frame. What is your inseam? Trek state the standover is 30.6". And it has a pretty horizontal top tube, so that should be more or less consistent for the entire length of the tube.

Another clue, if the seller could measure it, is the head tube. On 19" frames and below, the head tube is 3.5" in length. A 21" frame will have a 3.9" head tube.
