Here's my TAB setup. It's being used for commuting to school and daycare with my 5yo at the moment. He's thrilled to be on the back hooting and shouting, and pumping his fist every time we see a bike silhouette on the road.

Pretty hard to get a roof rack on that car .

Cheapo trailer or not, you're getting out there and that is much more important than what you are on while getting out there.

17 mile kinda muddy ride yesterday. Really need to improve the fender situation for the trail-a-bike. (my bike has full cascadia fenders but the epic mudflap came off the rear one, and the crud catcher on the t-a-b also had broken off)

This is our train, the kids call it the Blue-choo-train

all items purchased on craigslist for a total of $120 ($75,$35,$10 respectively) as I wanted a separate "hybrid" bike ('88 Trek 820 with slick fatboys) to keep always connected to the tag. I wanted an easier way to get the kids to school since they are both still using training wheels and preschool is 1 mile one way and 1st grade is 1 mile the opposite way with the same starting time (luckily my daughter can be to preschool 15-20 minutes early) and we can get to the grade school in about 10 minutes (not bad for 2 miles uphill-ish I guess) blah blah blah, here's the pic

Bought a Burley today. We have a nice MUT that runs about 45 miles in my town so we have lots of options if we drive a few minutes and start at the park. This summer a bridge will be completed that links the MUT to a point about 1000ft from my front door! Looking forward to getting in some riding with my daughter. We went around the neighborhood a few times tonight and she was good - didn't cry or make noise, I think she was mostly trying to figure out what the heck was going on .

I picked up this Allez just after she was born to use as a commuter/trailer hauler. I'm thrilled with it. It's my second steel bike and I am loving the ride.

A couple shots from our ride from Boston to Seattle last summer. First one is somewhere in Ontario, Canada, second one is in Idaho. Our son was 11 in the first photo and had turned 12 by the time the second photo was taken. We highly recommend touring as a family activity!

My son graduated from a child carrier to his new Adams Trail-a-Bike Original Folder Compact this past weekend. He was scared and screamed, "No, Daddy!" for the first half a block, but that was soon followed by yelps of delight and a request for more bike rides! As a bonus, we also had some great biking weather this weekend. Also bought a second hitch so his Mom and I can switch it from bike to bike, depending on our shifts.

Our "crazy (bike) train". An early Cannondale tandem (jumbo captain, xl stoker) + a 1st generation Adams tandem. Our 3yo daughter is a happy stoker with a pink basket and bell.

And here it is waiting for the stoker to take a picture. The kids have stocking hats on under their helmets - this was in early May.

He loves it! In fact, he's begging me for a ride right now... to McDonald's (but I think it's more for the fries than the bike).
