4 miles yesterday afternoon in 40F weather. Seemed frigid after a week and a half in warmer climes. No ride today - wimped out due to 30-ish temps.

That all sounds great!

How do you transport a tandem bent? Do you disassemble it? Are there roof racks for bents at all, let alone tandem bents?

20 mi at 13.9 mph avg. on Okeechobee dike. All body parts felt really good. Know I could have done much better. Sure do not miss the statins. Fighting sinus infection - will see how much that impacts my 45 mi ride Saturday.

I went to school today. I went back home on recreational cycling paths in seaside park and enjoyed it too much. School is 15 km far than home.

We haul our Screamer on top of our Mazda5, on an ATOC Tandem Topper. (Ours is sold by and branded by Thule.) Tandem Topper can accommodate just about any length bike - ours is the shortest version.
Front wheel and seats always removed and for long drives pedals also removed. We got about 26mpg on our recent trip.

Got out for an eight mile ride Friday afternoon. Low 40's but dry. Winter coming back on Sunday planning to get out midday today.

Was out riding and stopped to watch the SpaceX Crew Dragon launch at 2:49AM. Great atmospheric conditions allowed a wonderful view being almost 150 miles away as the crow flies. After the launch I took a break and then headed back out to meet the LBS group. Only able to stay with them for 20 miles, already had 80 miles done, but it was a good hard effort and then continued on for another 33 on my own. LBS is getting a nice sized group for the 1 Day Cross Florida ride next month. Hoping to join in.

46 mi at 12.7 mph avg. and temp avg 84. Amazing how good my legs are doing without the statins. Now if I can just get butt and feet up to the same level of "feels good"

12 miles Sunday evening, first outdoor ride in a week after several cold wet days. I finally settled for a cold dry, windy evening to ride a little. Mostly using the indoor trainer.

Very cool - that looks incredibly fun. Thanks for the picture and link, that makes it very clear.

Same here, that sounds very familiar. This has been one of the wettest grayest winters, with on-and-off storms, that I can remember. Opposite side of the country, but still.

yah...got up to 80 degrees and then down to mid-50's with rain and wind on the second half (5+ miles on the big climb) before bouncing back to low 70's.
glad i pushed through but woulda turned around if it were even semi-realistic with dwindling sunlight.

cold and wet for the better part of two hours was no fun. went the extra mile with the forecasts and was still underprepared.

Rode at dawn this morning on local hills. Started at 21F and 10mph winds with bare ears, a mistake I soon stopped to correct. Part of this route goes through a block of forest where a passage was cleared to lay some infrastructure thing underground. A couple trees had fallen there with recent rains, so I took 45 minutes to disassemble and drag those off to the side, a nice workout. Already sore.

Two days prior, a timed speed run to the greenway, again in a three hour predicted gap between rains, again ending with me getting wet.

A couple days before that a two-hour ride into the hilly country behind the library.

Planned on a leisurely 40-50 miles Wednesday but had to bail out at 12 miles. Developed abdominal cramps around 10 miles and limped home to flop on the sofa for a couple hours until the cramps subsided.

Oh, well. Thursday is supposed to be warmer anyway. I'll try again.

Windy day but still managed 53 mi @ 13.6 mph. This ride puts me half way in my training plan. Need to be ready for my 80th BD century May 4th. Legs still amaze me. Did one 5 mile stretch at 20+ mph.

Another great morning to ride. Peace and quiet at 3:20AM, my start time for first 36 miles, then back home for a bite to eat and back out to join the LBS gang. Managed to hang on for the ride then added a bit more after completion. Totaled out with 101 miles.

I rode with a friend today who's been off the bike a while. We did 30 miles together averaging a touch over 13 mph, but after we got back to the cars, I headed out for another 16 miles to bring my total up to 46 and my average up to 14.2. Finally there was no rain or heavy mist in the morning, and it was warm enough to not need arm warmers. A good day.
