Bianchi Strada 70s?
Anyone out there can spec the year on this Bianchi Strada frame? I gather this was a low end model, any value? Was thinking of building it up as a city bike since it has a kickstand mount. Serial number is 2D71062, does that make it a 71?

The plate style chainstay bridge will mean it is a Chiorda product. If a 1971 Strada it will be a bit lighter than the 1960's and earlier examples which are quite heavy.
Hope you can get the image hosting squared away to we can see it. You will get more and more specific information about the bicycle if you can get the pictures up...

If the serial number was on the upper collar of the head lug, then it is a 1972 model. The serial number format indicates a Bianchi manufactured frame, as opposed to Chiorda.

@T-Mar, yes the serial number right under the head lug. I got the pics uploaded, needed to make the file size smaller, interestingly it was giving me a security token exception, whatever.
I like the frame (esp the color) was going to make it into a 1x6 for my son.

So many thanks for identifying the frame set! I now know that I have a 1972 BIANCHI - Celeste!
