seriously thought teaching can be really rewarding. It had better be, cause despite what everyone thinks it is not an easy job. Easy to become a teacher? yeah, maybe. Easy to be a great teacher? no way! Only the ones who go the extra mile and then some are the ones you remember and who make a difference in people's lives.....hence the reward.
If anyone is even thinking about teaching, I say try it. even if you don't like it it it's a fascinating trip!

I'll take that trade-off! My friend and his wife have the same set-up, though she doesn't ride. They do a lot of traveling on her down time, though.

For the record, I work at a News Photo Agency. I develop carpal tunnel syndrome entering metadata from 9-5 and then balance it out with some ulnar neuropathy while bouncing over pot holes riding to and from work. I was a speech therapist for 10 years until I decided it was time for a change. I'd like to get back into teaching someday (preferrably college level). The world can never have enough good teachers!

I appear to be the only Bail Bondsman in the forums. And I think I would be better at my job if I didn't think half of these guys belonged where they are.

I travel around the country teaching college students who want to go to law school how to do better on the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). It's a great job. I'll be starting law school myself in the fall of next year.

I'm a "systems analyst". I'm seeing some decent jobs here --- yet so few paid memberships to this forum. You haven't received $25 worth of knowledge and entertainment in this forum?

caloso--I see you practice in sunny California. My other half is a member of the California bar (and a member of the patent bar). She told me about the three days of h*ll--I don't think so! kudos to you for taking it and passing it!
So, gentlemen--with that said--what type of law do you practice?

I took that job so I could go to college and work a steady shift (unlike the navy). Now it is 6 years later and I posses a master's degree while still doing the work of a vocational tradesman. So something need s to change.
All that will change in about a month as my wife and I will be quitting our jobs to relocate to Colorado.
