Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Otherwise ... i'd eagerly volunteer to ride it for you ... save you the time and energy.

That's a gorgeous bike.

I have Gatorskins on my winter bike and like them. Around here, every time there is an possibility of ice, they sand the roads. I swear they get the sand from the dump, there is shards of glass and metal in it. Cheap government won’t clean the roads until Their is zero possibility of anymore snow or ice, which is about May.

"Uber" nice. I have always wanted a set of Corima wheels. I went with Zipps because I seem to be able to find them a bit le$$ than Corima. So, tell us how much this rig weighs?

LOVE it. I had a Look 566 for 20k miles and looked at the 795 (aero is sick!) and 765 but ended up with a different bike, there's no Look dealers anywhere near me. Where did you get yours?

Not sure how I feel about the top tube running into the stem like that. Very similar to the new Cervelo S5 and Trek Madone. I am sure it is more Aero, but I think it has to grow on me a little bit.

Too bad you went with all black instead of some of the typical Look colors. I appreciate their "house brand" color schemes that are consistent throughout the years, (red, yellow, blue) instead of all other brands just slapping whatever color onto whatever bike.

Yea, but the roads here are horrible. I'll gladly run these and carry the extra weight, in exchange for roadside repairs .

You're in San Diego... how bad can they be?

I ride on Long Island with tones of debris including sand, salt, sticks and other crap. And then there are the potholes.

And matte black bikes are still hot, but i'l darken the wheel logos.

I’m liking this, even though i’m a c&v guy,too.

The integrated stem looks like a possible minor improvement. Certainly gives the bike a new Look.

..... if it is going to be modern, might as well Look modern.

Not the weight. The rolling resistance. More than negates every aero advantage that bike may have.

Should a bike like that even be on the road in conditions which call for gatorskins?

That bike deserves better regardless of how bad the roads are. At least put a pair of Vittoria Rubino Pro Control on it.

Is that the Light or the Blade?

What is that thing embedded into the top of the fork?

I use Gatorskins on my commuter because they last forever and resist flats. But they are slow and hard riding and general terrible things.

If you'd consider trying something else, this might be useful to you: https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/

Very fancy. I had to do some research to figure out what makes it stop. Curious, can't find any reference to those aerobrakes on the Look website. Did they drop that feature?

Im in San Diego and most the roads are horrible. The potholes are craters. They patch them and the next rain washes them out with interest.

Potholes are caused by water seeping into cracks in the pavement, then it freezes at night and heaves chunks of pavement out.

I didn't know it rained that much of temps went below freezing there.
