You all should see Williamsburg and Central Park as the weather gets warmer.

And the East and West side MUPs, PP, and practically the whole city. The views are spectacular.

I have enough distractions with living a block away from the beach and occasional trips out to Ship Island. I guess riding Highway 90 during the summer may be off my options list; too many distractions.

Good for her!! I may have to print off that article for my Girl Guide group to talk about. (We are doing a mini cycle tour for our next camp, and we're also looking at what it means to be active/athletic . Too many young girls think that they can't claim their own physical competence without losing their "femininity"...) I liked what she had to say about pursuing excellence for herself rather than to try to please others.

God yes. I nearly ran into a car yesterday riding around Willyburg when this gorgeous girl in those 70s-style running shorts was climbing onto her bike.

I think I'll be spending more time in billyburg this summer. Hope Pies n Thighs finds a spot there soon so I can eat while I'm enjoying the view.

Mmm.. yeah. A slightly more expensive Pies n Thighs alternative is Fette Sau on Metropolitan near Havermeyer. They serve you a tray of meat and you can order a gallon of beer. Then right across the street is Spuyten Duyvil which has an awesome back yard which is usually good for finding some nice girls (and spectacular beer selection).
