fork designed for loose ball bearing headsets?
I bought a new headset to replace the pos loose ball bearing headsets I've had on. they came with new race cups that are compatible with the cartridge bearing type. however, my bike's fork is shaped to take the loose ball bearing assembly, so there's a change in the stack height on my stem spacers because there's a 1 cm gap between where the fork ends and the steer tube where the headset sits. Is there an adapter out there to take care of this? right now, my headset is clicking under load...

Did your not come with bearing? thinking that if your having issues following the manufactures instructions (also supplied with a new headset) it's time to take to to a LBS and get them to sort.

Well, it would be nice if you rolled the bike into some brightly lit place to take your picture. But it looks like you failed to remove the crown race of the old headset from your fork.
