No, there’s nylon strapping with a knot that’s attached to the 1x10 and then closed in the tailgate. Very secure and easy to load and unload the bike. Before, I attached the bikes to the front of the bed using the same fork mounts. It worked well, but my current method makes loading/loading easier because I don’t have to climb into the bed and I didn’t need to drill holes in my truck.

Forgot about th

ese things... I won 5 or6 of these on eBay. No shipping, my LBS was the seller. Was going to install on a heavy plywood backing strip for the truck to take our bikes on vacations. The best laid plans... One of these days!
