REI Co-op "Cargo" Bike $800
36V, 350w bike reduced from $1500 to $800, and seems like a smashing deal (until 8/14) if you have a store nearby since it includes adjustments for two years , free flat tire repair etc for members.

Thanks for the info. Looking for something for my girlfriend.
The Gen 1.2 adds only $200 and gives more range and power.
Wish they supplied a throttle with it. I did not see where anybody managed to slap one on there.

Throttles aren't prevalent in many major and relatively major (if that's a viable term) bikes so they can be "Class 1". However, the controller might have the capability. Personally, I like the less expensive bike since it has a suspension fork and AFAICT the same motor, but if the extra range is necessary, the 1.2 is attractive.
