Hoping for a good week of weight lost. Hope everyone looses.

Not a real good week for me. Been up and down. I was a little sick last weekend so maybe that is why.

I'll take it it is a lost.

Plateau done and catching up fast! 5 down this month so far.
That's a lot in 5 days. Great work!
Nice!
Went to the Drs office yesterday for my two week weigh in. Down another 8 pounds, blood sugar looking better and blood pressure is down a little more. Weight lost and riding is helping me so far.

After spending pretty much all of the last four weeks traveling, I'm effectively flat at 268.3 as of this morning. As I'm traveling much of the next two weeks, I'm going to set a not-too-hard goal of 264 by end of month. And I've got to get my butt back on the trainer for these few days I'm home.

Looks like everyone is doing well so far this month even with the Superbowl yesterday! Congrats to All! My weight loss last week was 2 lbs which is good for me now that I am again eating solid food.

I can relate! I'm currently situated at a nice hotel in the mountains of northern Luzon in the Philippines. The digital scale in my room read over 5 lbs higher than home on my first day here. And 2,3,4 lbs higher than home within 3 minutes the 2nd day. On the 3rd day (tomorrow)' my plan is to walk a few miles to a store and buy fresh batteries for the scale. Denial isn't just the name of a river in Egypt! I'm sure it will rain during the walk

Valentines meals maybe? I've put a heck of a lot more out on my bike than I have in my mouth and it's gruelingly slow the last 2 weeks. Like @billmc40, it's still progress.

Walked over 11 miles and 80+ flights of stairs (per my Fitbit HR watch) on Valentine's Day, and bought a battery for the bathroom scale in my hotel room. The scale is now reading within 0.4 kg between multiple consecutive weigh-ins. Today's weigh-in at the hotel is roughly dead even with last week's weigh-in at home. At least it didn't rain during my walk.

Late to the thread so I'll adjust for 1/2 month
With how I'm working out now I can't use weight loss to gauge progress. I have to use BF%. The way I WAS approaching things prior to 2016 I could draw a fairly stiff line between progress and weight, though we know they they are not exactly the same.
I've been caliper tested and though I know they are only so accurate what I'm looking for is the change. Unless I get dip tank tested I won't know how accurate (or inaccurate depending on your point of view) the actual measured value is. Again I'm looking for change.
Recently measured caliper BF% = 18% (I feel the real value is higher)
Initial Goal BF% = 12%
If Muscle Amount Did Not Change End Body Weight @ 12% BF = 224 lbs
So.... I'd like to lose 5 more lbs of unnecessary fat this month. I'll have to guess success or failure based on the combo of the scale and what I'm seeing in the mirror.

If it's not too late to jump in this month, I'd like to see 255 on the scale by the end of February.

2/5- 269

Finally some worthy scale movement. Did a 20 miler with 20mph headwind yesterday at 16.3 so that probably helped my numbers this morning. Hey, I am a huge sail, you know. I'm calling no way I lose 20 this month but 15 is in reach.
Great progress!

I'm glad to see everyone still in the fight. I've read mid-Feb is a common time for people to start backing off from their personal improvement activities. A little kumbaya from the folks in the thread is helping to break through to the next phase, at least in my case!

It's good to have somewhere to post this stuff because no one on the facebook wants to see this crap. I mean, haven't you ever thought "If I see one more marathon photo post from these people..."? And that's just your family!

Ketones gushed so much I cracked a tooth, or something like that. So I haven't had the pain tolerance to work out, but I'm still in ketosis and now that my root canal is over, I risked getting on the scale: 273.8.
I have to admit I'm learning a lot about my metabolism...for instance, on Fat Tuesday, I fell off the wagon and had Chick Fil A for lunch and then a big Mexican dinner. I learned my lesson, because in one day I put on 5 pounds. Yikes. Took me 5 days to get back into ketosis, and only now have burned down to the 273.8.

Not certain exactly what happened yesterday. Got a headache, chills, and a bit of the runs after lunch at the Singaporean restaurant. But, it seemed to happen too soon after lunch to be food poisoning from lunch. Went to bed right after a light and early dinner fully clothed plus a sweater. I feel a lot better today but still have a slight headache. The scale claims I lost about 3 lbs yesterday. I'm sure most of that is water weight that I'll add back quickly. Time for a long walk into town for some Ibuprofen.

I lost the battle and am throwing in the towel. You folks are doing great. Congratulations on your efforts. I will continue to ride but not worthy of posting in this thread. If someone else wants to take over next month that would be great.
