re: cav losing the yellow jersey for tony, it actually seems better not to have to defend a jersey they won't hold on to anyway, at least from cav's perspective. it would make for good pictures but not really a good strategy.
plus it would only distract cav's team from helping him win stages. gotta focus.

anyway +1 in a great stage today. froome played a great chess match by handing off the yellow jersey to a pawn. good for tony tho!
and awesome that nairo made the split!

Fwiw, Martin said post-race that it was as high a power as he has ever seen for the duration. Obv that is probably not literally true, but dude can ride and had to crush himself to win. "Never really chased" might have been a trick of the camera angles we were presented with. Hard to say 100%.

I'm not sure if I like this new style of "racing". Sky, BMC, Astana, Movistar all lined out next to each other at the front, 4-5 deep each. Mile after mile.

out walking the earth
I kinda always assumed people watched this stuff ironically. Flip the top on a PBR and watch the destruction of all that's holy with a bemused detachment and knowing smirk while picking urban BBQ out of your beard.
