2017 DB Haanjo Trail. Just got this assembled yesterday. It will be replacing my hybrid - due to the hybrid's lack of versatility and my body's apparent dislike of flat bars on longer rides. There is a decent sized chip in the paint on the seat stay that I have emailed DB about to see if they can provide some touch up paint. Unfortunately, I only have about 5 miles on it so far, but I think I am really going to like it. This will be my do-it-all bike, covering commuting, basic rides with the kids, along with some exploration. I will be keeping my Trek 4500 for dedicated mountain biking.

Edit: while looking at this post, I realized the wheel reflectors are still there. They will be gone as soon as I stop typing this. As for the dork disc, I am a believer in the protection it provides and it will remain.

So, ordered a Black Mountain Cycles MCD this spring when the new model was announced and it finally arrived on Friday. Got it set up Friday night and went for a 25 mile shakedown ride on Sat. Did paved, dirt, and singletrack and the bike was everything I had wanted & hoped for. Lively feel, yet not flexy, really soaks up the gravel and the steering was quick, but not twitchy. It gets me the offroad capability of my first gen Fargo without the heavy weight/feel. Looking forward to many miles of smiles,

Cannondale CaadX SE. I've definitely been trying to put it through the paces. With the exception of potentially swapping over to hydro brakes, its been a great bike.

Just finished dialing it in last night and wrapping the bars. Built from the frame up. Even the frame and fork were sourced separately. This is my gravel and commuter bike.

All - take note. This, my friends, is how a gravel bike is supposed to look.

I love the dirt fade from front to back - the brifters are pristine and the saddle bag is completely crusted.

10/10. Hot. Would rinse then ride!

I think I just changed my plans for the evening from road riding to gravel.

Love the color with those tires and saddle--I dig the classy yet tough/utilitarian look of this beast.

2015 Redline Carbon Conquest Elite. SRAM Rival 22, TRP Spyre mech discs, Power2Max NG Eco, Zipp CX Service Course tape. Bought it about 4 mos ago, just had the tape and power meter installed as part of a tune up for CX season.

Not a lot of 1X’s. I thought that was the way to go.

It seems a lot of brands have a SRAM 1x option within their gravel lineup, but its typically a mid-upper level bike within that lineup. So anyone buying entry or even 2nd up from entry isnt getting the 1x. <---this is all just a generalization based on observation.

Its trendy for sure and has a logical place in CX and MTB. I ride my gravel bike on both gravel and pavement, like many others, and like the smaller steps of a 2x drivetrain.

Part of my reasoning for getting the SE version of the CAADX was that it was more gravel oriented. Slighty wider tires, 11-32 cassette and 32/48 chainrings vs the 36/46 on the standard CAADX. Now that the topstone exists, i'm assuming the CAADX will drift more cross like the SuperX and eventually all go 1x.

Found the frame on Craigs, built the rest from parts bin. It's been 10 years now and still going strong.

Cross bike vs gravel bike. Set up for completely different purposes even with similar geometry.

Why do we have two different threads devoted to gravel bike pics (the other being the established "show us your gravel grinder")?
