Hinterland Rovers, posted on American Built Frames Only, on Facebook (shudder). Steampunk is so weird, and yet rules, (sometimes)!

What can I say. 👍

I like what appear to be slack head and seat tube angles. I also like the deeply raked fork. I am scratching my head over some other details, however, this was probably not designed for such logical scrutiny.

The brass tanks I am thinking is for an A + B reaction to provide some thrust or just scare horses and people? Is that a chain on the top tube? What for? Should one go from riding directly to dismounting without straddling the top tube? Why so few spokes and why a radial spoke cross pattern? I don't see brake calipers but I see the levers. The hubs don't appear to be drum brakes, but that would be neat. Or maybe it has steam powered brakes that are hidden under the copper at the seat tube. Apply the brake lever which opens a valve and allows the steam to activate a caliper of some sort. If that is the case, brilliant. Or could the copper sheet be hiding the drive wheel and the steam, when release turns a turbine which drive the wheel? Brilliant again. Forget E-bikes, gotta get an S-bike!

Interesting bike, someones thinking about bikes in a different way and that is good.

I also like the copper tubing bike stand.

Is that rear moon decoration operational? It looks like it works like a basic rudder.
