Just what the title says - if you commute on a Brompton, how far do you go (one way)? I’m curious if anyone commutes 10+ miles on it daily?

1.8 miles each way.
Was considering an e-bike upgrade, but decided it's not worth it.

I no longer work but when I did I often rode 20, although sometimes 8/12 or 12/8 as my schedule and weather dictated. Now my 20 is one ride. Being a weakling sometimes it's less than 20 if stout headwinds or a lot of climbing is involved. I have other bikes I like to ride and the Brompton isn't much more effort and might be a couple tenths of a mile per hour slower. From 1992 through 2015 I was blessed with a locker and shower, so I could clean up a ride. Coming to work sweaty and smelly was more of a limitation than the distance itself, so when the last job had no locker room my ride was short. Got the miles in on the return trip.

1.5 miles to train plus 0.5 to work.

a comute ride need to be seen as it is, a complete diferent ride than sports.
As said, whrn you comute, you go slower and without a backpack(you need a pannier) this way you mostly avoid sweating and look messy.
in my former job, i go 18km eatch way everyday

The question you also need to ask is what about the elevation? I was talking with my local Brompton dealer about the different models; he was saying that the 1-2-3 gear model were fine around London but in places like Bristol or Bath with some elevations, "6 gears" is a must-have.

My limiter is just the overall efficiency of my foldies, which are upright seated, heavy, with limited gear ranges.
I would say, roughly they are 30-50% less efficient and after 5 miles that starts to become burdensome to me.
They will go anywhere, but if it is windy, or hilly or much further , the extra work starts to tell.
The longer the ride the more likely you will find a stretch of rough pavement where the harsh ride will add to the work.
If it's smooth and flat, they add little to complain about, and are as pleasant as any.

Depends. Am I running late? Raining/snowing? It's Friday and I rode Mon-Thur to work.

Anywhere from 2 miles to/from the train/bus station; to 17 miles one way.
