1972 Schwinn Super Sport
1972 Super Sport that has seen moderate use and recently put back to near stock configuration. Appraisal posting on the "what's it worth" sub-forum.

I posted local on Craigs for $250. If any forum members are nearby, I would go $225 or $50 less without the seat. I don't want to try to ship. There is a nearby bike swap meet at the end of the month that I plan to take it to if it doesn't sell. I do have a stock RD that I will include if one wants that aggravation.

Always loved the smooth look of those frames.

Funny you say that
Funny you say that. On cleaning frame up, I was a bit unimpressed with the attention to detail at the joints and dropouts. I guess one can chalk it up to the semi-mass produced product of the time. Detail doesn't compare to the later Japanese production or Italian craftsman of the era. Not really a fair comparison for the price point, and indeed without the lugged joints, it does indeed have an attractive smooth look. It seems they are durable too.

Sold
Sold today for $250 with a few co-op extras thrown in. A guy traveled 50 miles to buy. He has one he bought in 1974 as a 15 year old. His was well used but same size. I had some toe clips and Schwinn Approved extra brake levers and an original RD that he wanted. A pleasant transaction with a fellow traveler.
