Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? whoa man. Cleanest IRO ever.

How are you liking the top cap watch? It looks nice on that. I kinda want one.

EDIT: Is that the Stem CAPtain? I didnt know they made it with a silver base.

I just noticed the top cap watch. Gives this IRO build a classic touch. Well done...

Can you imagine one that gauges speed? How cool would that be. A refreshing change from all the digital stuff out there.

@Nagrom - It's really useful! Especially for me being a student, get to know if im running late aha.

Yeah its my only bike, so it works double as my cargo bike.

Few weeks ago before the recent overhaul.

The watches are only about $25. its pretty reasonable. I just didn't think they made them in silver.

A speedometer would be badass.

They never sold them in silver. I sanded down the black and polished it myself

150 - 200 - 500 - 1000 grit sandpaper then just rubbed on some mother's aluminum polish

Easier way is take out the watch if you can, use oven cleaner assuming its anondized, If its paint- use paint stripper and polish it

He did do a great job, a soft(-ish[gray]) grinding wheel would make the process a lot faster too. Along with oven+stripper, and or bead-sand blaster approach. A+

That looks anodized, You can just leave it soaked in oven cleaner for 1-2 nights, And the plating will come off and you can polish afterwords

"Quality waterproof construction, brilliantly anodized aluminum, and shiny chrome bezels."

sweet. Oven cleaner huh?
EDIT: Just read online that oven cleaner isn't the best of choices... it can damage the Al.

apparently a 1 part phosphoric acid 4 part water bath at ~200F for a few minutes does a hell of a job and leaves the surface pretty shiny.
