3rd time is the charm for my Fuji Saratoga!
I’ve saved “Fuji Saratoga” on my eBay search. Rarely does a listing appear. This past week a beautiful green Saratoga showed up for sale. Local pick up. My home town. My size. Closet classic condition. Made in Japan. THE OG WATER BOTTLE IS INCLUDED!!! I can’t say no!
It appears to be original, but I cannot pin point the year. This is my 3rd Saratoga through the years and by far the nicest! I really dig the extra spoke holders. I’m not bad ass enough to change a spoke in the bush unexpectedly. But, I will stab a trout or make a fish hook with these spokes if needed. 😂
These spokes are such a great example of pre-smartphone tech.
Any Idea of the year?
Thanks for looking!

I think this is the one. It is the only one that matches the decals. The spec page says Forest Blue, although the picture looks more like Moss Green. Congrats on a great find! https://labibleduvelocataloguesfuji....fuji-1988.html

The Saratoga is a nice bike. Mine is from '91.There were a few changes made from your model year.

That's right up there with the Trek 720 and Miyata 1000 in the touring bike hall of fame. I also have it in all my searches, but they don't come up very often. Congratulations.

what a beauty, thanks for sharing it
probably looks just like it did when it came out the shipping carton for assembly
THREE w/b mounts! - ready to cross the Gobi she be
should take her to Saratoga Springs for the horse racing season and make a picture in front of the "Welcome To..." sign

Nice bike. I thought the Saratoga was a Fuji 3 speed for some reason, so I was surprised when I saw such a nice touring bike. Color me jealous.

I’m waiting to work on it until I have the right tires picked out. Any recommendations on 27”? I usually buy cheap but might splurge on these.

Let me be the first of what I'm sure will be many to recommend Panaracer Pasela.

And on those Paselas, I like the red label ones and not the Protite. Supposedly there is less flat protection on the red label. I might be dreaming, but it seems that the red label version rides just slightly nicer.
