I got this one in May, so technically it was still spring, but it was a good way to start the summer season. It didn't need much, mostly just cleaning, lubrication, and consumables. I added the mini fenders because, why not?

Listed just the Masi In post #50, forgetting my recent pickup of a Jack Taylor project tandem for a mere C-note. Then yesterday I drove to Portland for this Atala Professional. Had managed a fleet reduction of 4 bikes this month, but now its only N-1 for the Summer. Don

Trying to pare down my stash, but I really wanted a Cannondale touring bike with cantilever brakes that would fit a wide tire. Found a fantastic deal from a retired gentleman in Michigan on a barely ridden T400. Polished the frame with some elbow grease and Pledge. Tossed the original components and rummaged through my parts bin to build up the frame.

I think the last frame I bought was the Ciocc in need of help. Early hot weather in SC makes March through October summer.

First ride went very well until a crash at the end.. She was unable to sort out the "stop and dismount" part. Just went slower..slower..slower until wobbles led to falling over sideways. Practice rides have been few since. Meanwhile I rode the tandem in the hills around the town of Stayton Oregon. You have to keep speed down on descents and brake carefully as weight distribution is very much forward, but does pretty well on the flats. Best thing about the Jack Taylor is perfect sizing. Moto was Captain 55cm, Stoker shy of 52cm. Jack Taylor is Captain 53cm, Stoker same as Moto but has a horizontal top tube, not a mixte type step thru like the Moto, so the Frenchy is still more appealing to wife.
We downsized and moved to South Salem, OR since, where there is more traffic to contend. Plan to take Mr. Moto to our Florida home, located in a traffic friendly neighborhood with only obstacle being small children riding around on their own bikes. The Jack Taylor paint is worse than appears in picture. Lots missing on underside surfaces with some surface rust plus usual chips & scratches topside. Should be OK after cleaning and touchup but foresee a lot of hours to get it up and running again. Don

It's been a really dry bike summer, which for me is a good thing. The market is pretty beat right now. I did, however, add this to my collection this summer. It did not look like this as purchased, but it's a hobby so the time and money spent gets viewed differently.

A '96 Trek 2300 56cm frameset given to me by a coworker. He thought I could build it up for my 13 year old son.
Ready to ride.
A '96 Trek Singletrack 930 18" frame I bought for myself to tinker on.
The end result.
A '94 Trek Singletrack 930 14.5" that we got for my 10 year old son as he outgrew his 24" tire Precaliber and the MTB we had available was huge for him.
After some cleaning, new parts, times and adjusted. Ready to ride.
Now, I'm in the market for another 18" 800 or 900 series Trek to Restomod into a 1x setup with 26x2.2 tires and keep as a bare bones bike.

I needed a cheap bike I could take to the beach and lock up outside. It's been a while since I owned an aluminum bike and this one road fine.

One month ago i bought two very cheap bikes the same day,
Cilo 1990, deore lx, cromo tange. Unknown model. Not my size.
ALPINESTARS cromega lx 1990, cromo tange, 400 gs. Size is ok.
My goal is to rebuild the second with the wheels and groupset of the first. But most surely with a microshift acolyte groupset.
