Bumping with my 93 Breezer Lightning I built up 30 years ago including a not-common 1" threadless Bontrager Comp fork. It's been last built up in the late 90s since the original parts got used up.

This old Sports was the last of my acquisitions from the old co-op's junk pile. Can't believe nobody was wanted it but I don't really need it, having two of my own. Looks original except for the seat and will only need a gear cable to work. I just brought it home and hung it up and I gave away the last one I had, so if anyone wants this one please come and get it. I had a better photo but here it is hanging in the rafters with more of the fleet.

Here's an "as found" photo, although I recall not picking it up on this visit. Not until the pile was smaller and moved away from the building did I decide to rescue it.

Here you go, the pic I had in mind.

My latest pick up, a 1992 Diamondback Overdrive. For some reason I rarely find black bikes in my size.

That's a score, not many of those around; an early 29er. I often search for those and people want a lot for them. Very nice.

Thank you. I was not aware of them until I saw this one.

Those are 700x50c tires and there is room to go a bit bigger. I have never found a "hybrid" that had this much room.

That's the thing, these were not hybrids. They were MTBs with 2" knobbies, with NORBA geometry. Mountainbike Action did a back-to-back with the 26' Axis (which I think this was based off) and came away with the basic conclusions we have now: faster, rolls over stuff. The drawback back then was that once the tires wore out, there were no others to buy.

Edit: Found an ad in my bike porn folder

Pretty sure these are here somewhere already but..... whatever.

Ratty Stumpy parts donor, good original wheels and Deerhead FD will go on an older one eventually, Tomaselli grips already splitting, Damnit Jim.

Monostay too small Strawberry frame with inverted Legnano style seat binder.

Every time I see a black PH10 (i believe that's the model?) I have to stop and stare. I think this was the best graphic scheme Peugeot came out with and should have stuck with it and the black really makes it pop! I'm partial to these bikes as I have a red one but this bike in black is the nicest.

Where did you get the water bottle?

Ross Professional. High carbon frame with some good parts. I found this on market place a couple weeks ago at a cheap price. The frame is too big for me so I will probably keep it for parts.

I can add this local pickup from the fall. I got it all tore down and reserviced but never got a chance to ride it before my latest knee replacement. Added the Mavic wheels but have the original silver Araya/Superbe wheelset available to go back on. Hubs serviced and I had the real relaced due to some mis-sized replacement spokes and spoke tension all over the place.
