Charging Battery in a Pack?

I just bought a 52v might mini cube battery from lunacycle. The free bag that it came with is total garbage. You know how when you buy an electronic item, says, like a graphics card, it comes in a soft Styrofoam like container? I cut a box out of it and wrapped it around the battery and used electric tape all around it as well. So here is my question, when charging a battery is it ok to leave it in the pack I made or am I supposed to take it out so that the battery is not in anything?

When charging a battery it will become hot and depending on how hot can be a concern. Extreme heat can pose a fire hazard, so exposed and away from ignitable sources is good.

Mine only gets a little warm after a charge. My charger is 2 amps, which works out to 1 amp per cell as it's a 2 parallel cell battery.

My battery gets fairly warm with a three amp charger and I wouldn't charge it in an enclosure, especially one which is insulated, if only because heat is the enemy of Li batteries. Obviously it increases the potential for other problems.

I normally remove it to charge it just to be on the safe side.
