Campagnolo Record Hub Ball Size

Have a 1986 Record front small flange hub with oiler hole and Record with logo stamped in the shell. Ball size is 7/32.

Have an unknown model year Record front Large flange hub with oiler hole and Record with logo stamped in shell. Ball size is smaller than the small flange hub. Maybe 3/16.

Was not aware the ball sized changed between model years for the Record hub. Always under impression the Super Record hubs had the smaller balls. Anyone have more info on this?

Are the wear tracks near the center of the cones/cups?

Cones stamped "CAMP"?

All I can offer is that my small flange 1984 Record hubs use 7/32” up front.

There were some mid-80's Record and C-Record hub shells that were stamped "S.U", and took a smaller bearing. So look for that stamping.

"Front hub bearings: some Record / C-Record hubs were marked with an "S.U." on the center of the hub. These hubs used 7/32" bearings. Those not marked S.U., used 3/16" bearings."
