French Fender Day 2018
Last year's event was fantastic. Bike porn, great people, better food and drink than this. Last year an all-star lineup of framebuilders attended: Mitch Pryor, Brian Chapman, Johnny Coast, Jamie Swan, and, of course, the Grand Poobah and host hisself, Mssr. Peter Weigle.
I plan on flying out again this year. Who else is planning on going? Date: October 6 Place: Lyme CT Peter hasn't put out the announcement yet, but I know that these things require some advance planning to attend, especially if you're not somewhat local.

Please explain. Is this a French Holiday, a trade show featuring French Fenders, or what? And why is it in Connecticut?

I’m there!
These events are always a treat - looking forward to bumping into you again gugie, and any others from the C&V crowd.

October 6 is one month away. I've got my airline tickets purchased, bike rinko'ed, travel case test fitted. I've ridden a bike on the road twice since my recent mishap, no issues outside of lost form, so I'm riding more to get ready for a Tour De French Fender Day Redux
@Sir_Name has posted that he's going. I've PM'ed and emailed others. Who else wants to fess up?

Am I the only one not seeing any names (screen or otherwise) in the above two posts, or is Sir_Name simply ribbing gugie?

He did mention me but the name didn't show up. How odd! And I will be there with certainty and we plan on making the group ride.

Then bunk down somewhere that night, hava great breakfast then attend FFD. After that, back in the car and drive out to the Cape to ride the CCRT on Sunday. Then blast back down I95 to Pennsyltucky

That's not the problem; I don't use a mobile app for my BF fix generally. Not visible in Firefox, but visible in Safari -- go figure.

I don't why but when I saw the thread title, my immediate thought was Fender guitars with names like Fifi and Mimi.

At this point in time (which is to say, now) my sweetie and I are planning to be there. Our intent is to bring four French bikes, the tandem and my three solo bikes, but I'm also thinkin' there might be so many nice bikes I needn't bother. If there is a ride we will likely go on it with the tandem, if we arrive in time. Mind, there is a chance I may have to attend unattended, if you take my meanin', in which case the tandem will not be ridden. I can offer a bike or two for anyone who needs one, providing of course that you can ride a 58-ish cm frame.

Does the bike have to be french, or do the fenders, or what?
