Very close to home for me... https://bc.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=1456519

They aren’t saying much about it, but judging by the cones it looks like the cyclist ran the stop sign turning left onto 72nd St. (the other direction is a dead end).

That seems like a lot of damage to the SUV. What is the speed limit on that road? Can you tell what kind of bicycle it is?

It is amazing to me that drivers remaining on the scene of a bicycle crash is news? I can't say that I see that noted in auto on auto crashes.

There oughtta be a "ghost bike" on the corner 75 feet from my house. I live on a slight hill and a cyclist was coasting about 20-25mph planning to roll the stop sign and cut behind an SUV that was approaching from the right that was also making a left turn (in progress.) What he failed to anticipate, however, was the empty motorcycle trailer being towed behind the SUV.

Thump, thump.

The lesson is don't run stop signs.

I think the speed limit there is 60 km/h but it could be 50 - I drive that stretch often but I can't remember now.

It looks like it's a curvy-handlebar bike. Or at least the handlebars are curved now.

It looks a lot like one of these... https://www.cannondale.com/en/Canada...0-aacb1e81f779
