Wait! Don't go ...
I ride in long but thin sweats. Under the sweats, my padded cycling shorts. (I cover my cycling shorts because though I've lost 85 lbs, nobody wants to see all that. ) I bought a half dozen wicking 1/2 sleeve t-shirts at Wall Mart, cheap, in high vis colors, and I wear those. I don't wear a visability vest except dusk to dawn.
And I always always wear a mask. Not always over mouth and nose, but ready to pull up when there are people I'm overtaking or who are passing me.
The one other thing I wear is gaiters. Under my long sweats. I've had a number of falls since I started back riding, and those falls have each time cut open my shins. Several times that's ended in bad cellulitis. So now I always wear gaiters to protect my lower legs, even though I no longer ride a bike that I'm likely to fall on.

Generally ride in Nike training shorts. I never wear a shirt. Tuck a hand towel in the top of my shorts to dry my hands and wipe the sweat from my eyes.
