Help with Old Specialized Road Bike
Hi all,
I have an old Specialized road bike. I can't find one online that looks the same. I tried to post pictures but I am not allowed to yet. If it helps the back triangle has a tube that goes down from seat post area then by the brake mount it opens up. The triangle does not come all the way up to each side of the seat post tube like I see on all other frames. It has a serial number starting with AL. I think it's from the 80's I looked at lots of pictures of Allez and Sequoia but nothing has the same rear triangle.
Thank you to Golden Boy I was informed the frame is a monostay. Still no luck on finding one that looks like it.

Thank you Golden Boy that is what my bike what it looks like. Its Red and says Specialized on the bottom tube.

Johnny_iv If you poke around the menu (upper left I think), you should find a gallery entry. I think you can post pictures there. You just won't be able to post pictures to threads until you've got ten posts under your belt.

Specialized had a wishbone seat stayed bike for triathletes called the Transition. In 1991 it came in this "too pink" color.

Interesting seat tube/mono-stay/top tube lug...
...the head tube is lug-free.

Specialized Allez Transition...1993? If that's a 7 speed cassette then it could be a Shimano 105SC rear mech, RSX shifters, 105 brakes. RSX was introduced in 1995?

Allot can happen in 25 years - repaint with decals etc if only bikes could talk. The important stuff - have your ridden it? does it fit? do you like it? Here is an 89 Allez for comparison

That is a nice bike. I do like the bike. Have not taken it for a ride yet it needs new tubes and tires. Not sure if it fits I need to move that seat post down I am a short guy.
