Weinmann Vainqueur 610 pivot groove plastic nub

I'm trying to restore a 1981 Motobecane Super Mirage. While re-assembling the center pull brakes I discovered that one of them has a missing nub (labeled 'A' in the one that has one) that slides in the pivot groove ('B'). The one that doesn't have the plastic really grinds when compressed - way more friction. Any idea where I could get one of these, or how I could fashion one that would hold up?

Of course I don't have a clue what it's really called, but here's a couple pictures. Thanks for any ideas.

These nubs in groove are to try to link the two arm movements, reduce independent movement. I have seen MANY with missing plastic caps. Not much to offer but to align the caliper/arms so that the nub isn't rubbing the groove. Pretty much what you want to do anyway. Relying on these nubs to make the second arm move is a sign of poor set up. The only way I have replaced these nub caps is by removing from Peter and pressing it onto Paul. Andy

That makes sense. Thanks.

As a stopgap try greasing the bare nub and the matching groove. That should reduce the friction and quiet it down. Also, a short piece of thin plastic tubing thats a press fit over the nub might work.
