Broken a Campy crank? Yup, sure did. And, I also broke a Mavic SSC one day. Forgot all about both until now. I did, however, manage to break a Campy Nouvo Record shifter earlier today..

I've Never seen a Campagnolo Super Record crank break nor has anyone I know told me they snapped one , and I've been around.

I have a few Super Record Cranks that have been on the same bikes for over 30 years under some tough conditions and Never had an issue with any of them. And Im not a skinny guy and I do ride my bikes harder than most.

If somebody broke a Campy Crank they probably jumped off alot of curbs or screwed with the cranks somehow.

Well, I never had seen or heard of a record crank ***break*** either until it happened to me.
Never raced or abused it - just normal riding by a recreational rider/commuter.
Never payed much attention to it during it's 30 year life with me (I was the original owner).

There's no such thing as a Super Record crank (unless one wants to split hairs about 1985). All of the conventional fluted cranks (minus 50th Anniversary) are one form or another of Record crank. The rings determine the group.

Yes, Im very well aware of the differences in the Campy Cranks. I simply didnt say Nouvo Record because the rings look uglier than Sh*t.

Still doesn't change what they are. They're Record cranks. Not Super Record cranks.

You can dish it out when someone else is wrong, but you can't take it, apparently.

I retract this specific statement. I confused Manny66 with m_sasso.

Perhaps @Manny66 would illustrate the difference between NR and SR crankarms. I, too, am under the impression that it is the chainrings and bottom bracket that are different and not the arms. But other than the few NR pieces I own, I have little experience with Campagnolo components.

I just posted Several LINKS validating the use of the term SUPER RECORD CRANKS,, is there still a problem with its terminology?? You can easily look it up on Velo-Base too, its right there.

And, What Exactly am I dishing out ?? Feel free to Quote me where I "dished" Anything out towards You.

Did I somehow hurt Your little feelings ? Do You need a hug ? Looks like the tears are flowing heavily,, I can send you a big box of Kleenex if you'd like.

The Topic has been covered ad nauseam already.

I call Strada Cranks with Super Record Rings , Super Record Cranks. Its a very common term use by Many people refeering to Campy Cranks, Its just a simple way to refer to them as that. Some might disagree and thats O.K.

That cudak888 is the resident Expert on Everything and anything , Im sure he's probably stomping his feet and throwing a tantrum in his basement because I used the term Super Record Cranks again.
