2014 was the last time and before that, 2006. Before that, it was almost always Campagnolo...

Quite a spoiler of a title... Bummer.

Oh well, that’s what I get for visiting a cycling forum before catching up on such a decisive TT I guess.

Timing aside, that is nice to hear for Colnago and Campagnolo. Who builds a Bianchi with Shimano anyways??

I rode a Colnago Super to work, paint in yellow even.
When I stopped for coffee on the way in, a couple asked if I was looking for a Yellow Shirt... ?!?
Oh, yellow jersey, no, my time has past.
The fellow did mention that the leader of the race currently was on a Colnago.
Was not aware.

Does this mean the already exuberant prices people ask for their fancy painted Colnago will double?

Philly in the house.

I don't care about spoilers. I only watch the highlight videos and post-mortems by Lanterne Rouge and other common-taters.

Heck, the only time I watch entire videos of any stage will be 10-20 years after the fact. I already know what happened. It's just interesting to speculate about the "what ifs". Especially during the dopey '90s-early 2000s.

Probably means we will see more nago carbons on the roads now.
Hope it does not impact the supers and masters too much as Im not selling and could be doing more buying.

I'm not upset about it, but I'd like to also request posters not put Spoiler's in thread titles. Or in thread responses that aren't race related.

Even better would be Spoiler Alert warnings in the title of a thread that is for discussing current results.

Speaking of the laterne rouge, I feel like Caleb Ewan set a new standard this year. He didn't finish last, but the two people behind him were teammates who were there because they had to drag him to the finish in every stage with anything like a mountain in it. So, really, it's like Ewan claimed the last three spots in the rankings.

Well, it’s not over till it’s over.
Colnago needs a win.
interesting as we may forget he sold off the Biz
but would not surprise me if Ernesto is in Paris or not, in any other year he would be there, so would Valentino.

from appearances, rim brakes, probable direct mount from the few images I have seen.

V3R... but I can only find V3Rs

not that it matters as I am not buying.

I've enjoyed the Lanterne Rouge 2020 thread in the racing for fans forum. I didn't pay much attention to the stats so I was surprised to see that Sam Bennett was so close to nabbing both the green jersey and lanterne rouge. That just didn't seem possible, but there it is. I didn't realize until I checked the data last night how far behind Bennett was, other than in points. I'm wondering if that's a new record.

So... there's a new unofficial competition for the judges and organizations to hate: the rider who nabs the green jersey while being as far as possible behind everyone else without being DQd.

Bianchi built lots of great bikes, both Italian and Asian frames, with shipmano. I am sure in the beginning they weren’t happy about leaving Suntour and fine Italian component manufacturers but when you need to keep your market share whilst customers are looking for crisp indexing shifting and group that matches from derailleurs to headset to toe straps you gotta swallow your pride, and a little bike, and do what you gotta do.

I've got a Bianchi-built Puch built with Shimano, and I'm building a Miyata 912 with Campy. I am not the devil. I swear.

Meant as tongue in cheek, though that doesn’t always come through in text...! Very handsome example there.

Having caught up on the final couple hours of the ITT last night, that was quite the stage!

Speaking of sacrilege, I've seen Colnagos in Tange Ultimate tubes before. Italian bikes with Japanese tubes? And not a JP-made Bianchi??

I think the Master Olympic had Tange tubes in '94 or something like that. Still don't know if my particular Olympic from around that time has the Gilco or Tange tubes actually. Does anyone happen to know an easy way of telling? Didn't notice any Columbus stamps anywhere the last time I had it apart, so guess it could be Tange...
