Well, I know a lot of people around here have been having a similar problem with Omniums, so it could be the same thing? I'm not sure. How long have you had it now?

I've had it just over a month now, probably only 50 miles on the bike. I was planning on upgrading the crank before too long, and I might as well do the BB at the same time.

Yea I've had mine for a few months, put several hundred miles on it. Are you riding SS or fixed? I feel like that has something to do with it too, all the back pressure...

I am riding fixed, will definitely be cautious of noises. Do you know what kind of BB/Crank will fit in the frame?

No idea. I don't have the money to replace them just yet, so I haven't been looking.

Your cog is slipping.
Any 68mm English-threaded BB will fir the frame but the necessary spindle length is determined by whatever crankset you get. Pick out a crankset, then choose the BB.

I bought a £99 chinese fgfs frameset just for the sheer hell of it and because I had all kind of things floating around, like wheelset, cranks etc. It needs another strap (I just ran out of black polyester thread) and perhaps some kind of barspinnable brake system (a local bike shop has some cheap steel forks w/700x50c tyre clearance and inserts for either V or disc brake). A rear brake can also be fitted, which is nice if I should want to try polo with a freewheel. Heavy as **** (fork 1,25 kg; frame, 2,6 kg) and ugly as **** but fun
and after quite a few hours of work: new strap(s):

Haha, in fact I weighted the frame and fork with kitchen scale before assembling the bike. The old school barometer (if that's the right word) just happens to be in the porch, where I usually take the pictures of my bikes.
