Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Yeah, I got it from bonktown. The bibs were up a couple days before too. $50 is a great deal for capo. Can't complain.

Yep seems to be okay for 2-3 plastic grocery bags...which is good enough. Good idea on some padding underneath.

I'm looking for a drop bar with a nice flat palm area. How do you like the Cinelli Vai Palm?

Love them. Gotta admit it wasn't my first choice - I was originally looking at the FSA Omega or Wing Pro. But I scored this in a trade with other parts, and couldn't be happier. Flats are really comfy, although if you have small hands it might be a bit awkward. Drops are shallow enough to make climbing and sprinting easy (in a not-hardcore-but-more-commuting sense) but not awkward like with track drops. I understand and respect the aesthetic appeal of track drops on street bikes, but my back hurts just looking at B123's or Deda Pistas on a commuter.

Yes but judging from your PedalRoom stable you're way past putting pink deep V's on a sweetfixiebiek. But if you're interested for serious, hit me on the PM.

Right on. As much as I did love my ThickSlicks, the weight was just too damn much.

Went into NYC yesterday and picked up a pair of Borough CX Armadilo Elites for my Cyclocross bike. More puncture resistant than the standard Boroughs and still a 100g lighter. ($80 more expensive, though) Oh well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad.

I had mine since spring and never had any flats or damage. They were a pain in the butt to take off that spinergy though! Weren't you the one that broke a gatorskin's sidewall on the first ride? If so, tires must fear you

CXP33 laced to surly front hub + Rear Boomer to replace the one somebody ganked while I was locked up on campus.

I05TR from Scrod within the week most likely as well to replace my busted steel fork from the accident.
