Best source 4 cheap suspension forks?
We put together bicycles for underprivileged kids. Your best source for cheaper suspension forks?

See if your locality has a bicycle repair cooperative. They might have workable forks removed from otherwise destroyed bikes. Or, ask your local shops if they have an account with J&B Importers (jbi.bike). Cheap suspension forks never work as they should, and J&B has inexpensive rigid replacement forks for 16", 20", 24", 26", 700c, and 27" wheels. Threaded and non-threaded.
Oh, they have some cheap suspension forks, too.

Replace with cheap rigid, JBI if you can get an account. Cheap suspension forks kinda suck. Also probably an OK source of cheap-ish suspension forks, though really I don't think it's the best place to spend money for such a charity.

We pretty much are the local cooperative. We're in Juneau and not connected by road. LBS is $$$$.
We service a ton of suspension forks but also living in the rain forest, it's a constant battle against rust. We come across a fair number not able to be salvaged.
Thanks for the jbi tip!

My recommendation as well. Cheap suspension forks are not worth spending $ on plus they add to the probability of a future failure. Your kids will be perfectly happy with a rigid fork, which will last a lot longer.
