140-150 barn bikes for sale, many Schwinns, extra parts, etc. Most need tinkering and/or tires. $1800 for all.

Wow. This kind of thing comes along once in a while, but despite the 'most need tinkering' caveat, from the looks of this picture, these bikes look clean, and presumably in decent shape. I can't see rust, torn seats, etc. Still without a couple hours looking over to evaluate overall condition I think a price that's more like $50/bike would be a more reasonable ask.

Oh wait, I did my head-math wrong. $1800/150 I was thinking came out over $100/bike, but you're right it's only over $10/bike.

Wow! That's serious wishful thinking on a grand scale. Even the shipping cost is outrageous.

Good news! It isn't just private sellers who do the "backwards forks" thing! If it were my company selling this I'd be worried about a lawsuit....
(Not sure on that shim in the bar stem either).

^^^^ Turn it 180 degrees, and with the handlebar ends pointing forward, it's a single-speed tri bike.
Yeah, that's the ticket.

Two polar opposites today on the sales side of craigs ...
First guy from out of state saw my parts listing, described what he wanted in detail and said he would pay my only method for delivery, Paypal. We exchanged several emails about the components. He then asked me for my debit account and expiration date. In a later email, he said he paid me, but didn't
Next guy, a real old local guy, met me at the park where I gave him a Sugino crankset, and he gave me more cash than I asked for. He was wearing a cartoon guitar shirt and I was riding my Moto. We talked guitars and bikes for a good fifteen minutes.

I know there's a rabid vintage BMX subculture, but this asking price for two tires seems nuts to me: https://kansascity.craigslist.org/bo...190481600.html.

I occasionally search ebay for "LOOK Hinault" because I own a couple vintage LOOKs and I'm often casually interested in finding some LOOK accessories (clothing, posters, bottles, etc.), and I like to keep tabs on the market. Well, imagine my surprise when I see pictures of my LOOK KG86 for sale on ebay. It's a terrible listing, with typos, a description that doesn't match the photos, and blurry photos which appear to be screen grabs from bikeforums.net. No, my bike is not for sale.

gaucho777,
You can notify the E-bay administrators and inform them of the purloined picture of your bike. I found that I have been having to alert them more frequently of late. The flea bay group is a bit of a mess these days. Smiles, MH

More silliness in Brooklyn . . .
This bike is a vintage 1985 model road bike racer
Carbolite 103 very good mint pearl white Peugeot 12 speed made in France
I don't know the exact model or name of this bike
This bike was my father's that he bought in 1985. We used to ride together until he became ill. He died recently and we can't bear to see this premium vintage classic bicycle in the basement gathering dust - too many memories, and we need the money to pay our rent and bills. Very good condition and used very little !!!
57 cm (22.5 (22 1/2 inch)) frame measured from center of crank to top of seat tube
Original 27" x 1 1/4" tires (tyres) still hold air
Non-lugged frame (lugless)
The frame is straight and never bent, twisted, nor racked
The rims are straight and true, no wobble
Center pull Weinmann brakes
Two sprocket front cog gear set plus six sprocket rear cog equals 12 gear ratio speed choices
Stored in the basement and has not been used for the last 35 years or so
Brake pads seem to have hardened and need replacement
Has untouched house dust and house grime dirt film on it. That is not rust on the frame, the spots are house dirt from 30 years or so in the basement. I removed some of the film and the frame color is similar to Apple iPad iMac and Macbook pearl white.
Cash only, I don't have digital payment.

So, is this scamming or just a serious optimism imbalance? I am impressed by the idea that the condition is "fair", "it's not in bad shape" and that it's a "little rusty"
