Last night my addiction to playoff basketball evaporated as suddenly as my addiction to coffee did some months ago.
And in amputation news. Just a few days ago I discovered that if I work the muscles in that finger, the re-attached tip will get good circulation, something it has lacked throughout. I accomplish this by squeezing a small, soft rubber ball. Since it is now getting circulation, some feeling is returning. This morning it felt the heat of my tea cup. Progress

Yeah, I've been checking in on the Dragonspeed and Sigmatech cockpit feeds on youtube. Then highlight reels when they appear. I just watched a 1630-1930 highlight reel but it didn't have any commentary.

Bees love me.
Another ride, another sting, this time under the chin strap. For the next twenty minutes, I had "is my tongue getting thicker?" repeatedly enter my thoughts. Got hit in the face by another three bees/wasps and another one or two bounced off my person. Yeesh.

I rode across the damn during a ride from Kennett Square to Baltimore. I’ve heard several screech and great horned owls this trip. A few nights ago two of the latter held a lengthy conversation until nearly 5 am.

I saw a cyclist this afternoon in Birchrunville on St Matthews Rd. I wondered if it was our own indyfabz. But I think your route keeps you on 23 when you go by me.

And there were always lots of helpful former owners. My 66 had the issue where the starter drive gets jammed on the flywheel. The Book says, 'Take the cap off the other end of the starter and use a wrench to turn the square end of the armature backwards till it disengages'. So one night I stopped at my bank to hit up the ATM for some money. And I get back in the car and I hear the unmistakeable sound of the starter drive locking onto the flywheel. I get out my crescent wrench and open the bonnet.
The guy parked next to me says, "Wait - this is a pre-67? Here's what you do. Put it in 4th, but leave the handbrake on" So I do, and he starts pushing on the bonnet, rocking the car forward and back, and then, *SPROING!!!*, and it starts right up.

Regarding number of shifts per ride, this is from a flattish 28 mile ride:

I once interviewed for a screenprinting gig at Nike, an 8-hour paid interview for the top 3 applicants. I missed it by that much

Sounds about right. I am sure Velo Vol won’t agree.
