Stiffer flat pedals shoes than 5-10 freeriders
Hi,
I have 5-10 freeriders, for touring use. They fit well if wide and grip well.
When new they were pretty stiff but aged quickly. After 1000km they became pretty soft and under 2000km the sole became so flexy i could feel my pinky pressing under the sole. It makes for some pressure points when Cycling for hours which are very inconfortable
Thing is if i am out for a 3000km tour the shoes won’t last the tour...
Any suggestions for a stiffer / more durable yet brethable flat pedal shoes?

Add a stiffer arch supporting insole and improve that issue.. ..
I kept repairing the Birkenstocks i got in he 70's , last resole I had them use denser rubber..
On my bikr rours I got a shoe shop ti add stiff nylon in a shoe and birkenstock insoles
resoled them .. they fit loose, and being stiff were like penny loafers with the heel of my foot coming out as I walked..
more recently , close out, got SiDi touring shoes but that is not offered any more , maybe in UK/EU? IDK
Sandals? hand made?

I was looking for a similar pair a number of years ago when I worked in a bike shop. I needed stiff shoes fir mountain biking, but I wasn’t going to clip in. Finally picked up a pair of Scott Trail Boa Evo shoes that were pretty stiff. I liked the boa lacing because it can fit a variety of feet. The Scotts were at least as stiff as the Freeriders, as I recall. PM sent your way.

I ride with Keen sandals. I have pegs on my pedal which grip the sole a bit.

Putting a full length insole that is not soft rubber would help. I have Powerstep Insoles (not these but similar) that I got from the podiatrist when I had a bout with plantar fasciitis. My wife doesn't have foot problems, but some of her shoes had insoles which weren't doing the job, so she got these and is very happy-and they are firm, so you might try and see if you like them.
