Hello!
I am 27 and I've always been a dedicated cyclist and its my favorite hobby. I also ride all year in Nebraska's unpredictable weather. However, I was recently diagnosed with neurogenic bladder and I'm now a not so proud owner of a Foley catheter.
I've researched how to adjust my riding with it, but I only find suggestions for people with penises and none for female bodied individuals. I don't have a lot of money for a new bike and I have three upright bikes. The saddles put pressure on the catheter tube and cause pain.i don't want to give up cycling. Any words of help or encouragement?!?

There must be a way!
As a staunch ally and feminist, the penis-centric world we live in can be maddening. Cycling, sports, at times even science seem no exception. But there must be a way to keep you doing what you love!
If there's one thing to be said about cycling, it is the adaptability of the form to fit the user. Just take a look at the Paralympic cyclists. I find them pretty crafty and inspiring. So there must be a way to accommodate pretty much everyone.
I'm just another layman, but please share the links you've found (if you feel comfortable doing so). I'm new to your diagnosis and associated accommodations, but if I can help problem solve, I'd love to!
I'm going to go Google stuff now.

Okay, after a couple of quick Google's, I'm thinking getting the saddle right might be the first step.
Also, I'm thinking you're going to have to work with your medical GP and/ or Specialist closely with this one as urinal track infection (which is already a super common thing) seems to be a key concern here.
I'm curious what your thoughts are in a bench seat like this?
