What happens when I bike home from work wearing a face mask?

One thing that will NOT happen is that a bee will not fly into your mouth and sting you on the cheek before you can spit it out! Where I live, it is mandatory to wear a mask in public, but biking and jogging are exempt. If I had been wearing a mask though, I would not have suffered that sting. But, with temperatures in the mid-90s here, I am not sure I could wear a mask while biking anyway.

I was thinking of wearing some kind of cover just to keep all the small flies out of my mouth when I ride at dusk. I did ride once with a mask and would not want to do it regularly. Just need to find a way to deflect all the flies. They are actually not flies but those smaller ones that hang out in a swarm.

I have been wearing a mask like yours for a few years. Mostly in the spring for pollen protection. I also wear a heavier one in the winter for warmth. I realize in some places it's not PC to wear a mask at any time for any reason. But in the famous words of the First Lady. "I really don't care."
